The design of this traditional style kitchen features a fine balance between formal and casual elements. No detail was overlooked in creating this uniquely warm and inviting space: Ivory Fantasy granite with delicate burgundy veins on the peach, cream, and gold background is a perfect compliment to the rich reddish hues of the cherry cabinets; the colors of Ivory Fantasy granite are repeated in the diamond-patterned backsplash of 4x4 tumbled marble tiles and in the floor tiles laid in a simple and neat grid pattern. Two edges selected for the countertop design continue the theme of this elegant kitchen: more formal Ogee edge is used on the raised breakfast bar, while the main section of the island top is finished with a more casual 1/2 bullnose edge. |
